221    Judiah Goad,4                                                                                                       ?  22   (William,3,John,2,Abraham,1)

                b ca 1755; d 1838 Pittsylvania Co, Va.
                m Judith ____.

This couple may be the Judiah "Good" who m 10 Oct 1783 Amherst Co, Va to Judith Mildred Key, reportedly d/o George Key
and Henrietta Lewis.  Ref 2 below claimed this was Judiah Goad of Pittsylvania Co who did have a wife Judith.  This source also
states that their son was George Goad (actually Good) of Greene Co, Ind, see below.  No George was mentioned in the 1838
                estate settlement for Judiah
Goad.  This may be the correct marriage record, but it appears that George was not the son of Judiah
and Judith Goad of Pittsylvania Co.

                Judith and Judiah
Goad apparently separated or divorced.

1820 Pittsylvania Co, Va census, p 821, Judith Goard, 100000-20001-00.
                1830 census, family not located.
1838, 19 Feb (dated 20 Jan 1828): Pittsylvania Co, Judiah Goad's will probated, execs Preston and James Gilbert.  He said he had
little estate, and has lived for years with Archibald Gilchrist.  If anything is left after expenses, it is to be divided equally
among his children.  They were not named, and apparently orphaned.  However they were named in other documents.

issue:  (the first three are the ones supposedly named in other documents in the settlement of Judiah's estate)

1.   Tabitha Goad.

2.   Susan M. Goad.

3.   Martha C. Goad.

4.   George Good, b ca 1789 Amherst Co, m Judith Bucton.
(He was definitely not a Goad, unless he changed his name from Goad to Good.  The sole source for this connection is Ref 2,
below.  All the census records for him and his sons use the Good name.  He and his descendants are recorded in this geneal-
ogy, because of the prior confusion of this family's name, and to demonstrate the truth.)

5.   Emily (Milly) Goad, b ca 1804 Va, m 11 May 1822 to Joab Arthur, b ca 1801 Va.
No dau of this age listed in 1820 census.  Also listed as poss d/o
William and Jemima Goad (#222).
1850 Pittsylvania Co census, Northern Dist, p 204, #500/500, Joab Arthur,49 Va, laborer, Emily,46 Va.
